As my students begin writing EQAO today (provincial standardized testing; one of the most anxious times of the year for me) I was looking for some spiritual inspiration.

Although I don’t know exactly how these words apply to today’s situation (unless the Lord is arriving with the calculators and dictionaries) it’s still one of my favourite quotations from scripture:

“Be strong, take heart and wait for the Lord.”

Psalm 27: 14

What does that mean to you today?

  1. I could apply this today at work while we are discussing putting a feeding tube in a 93 year old person with a terminal illness.

    My motivational motto:
While at the gym this morning I was getting tired, but looked at my timer and knew I had 9 minutes left- my motivation "I've been in labor- I can do anything for nine minutes"

  2. Today, this means I need to continue to be patient and wait for all the pieces to fall into place. I'm making BIG decisions on going back to work and all the daycare, after school arrangements, and all the other major changes needed for a family that has had me home for the last eight years has left me overwhelmed. I guess I need to be strong, take heart, and wait…..it will all work out eventually!!
