Now, here’s where I open up to you a bit. I am finding podcasting a challenge as a perfectionist, but I am forcing myself to go with one take as much as possible (unless I say something completely incorrect which must be fixed). While my my amazing podcast editor Lukas Wojcicki works hard on the sound, you are getting a very unedited host; I make some point-form notes and use them as a springboard to talk freely. That said, after every recording I think of things I should have said, like “we used signs with pictures of the breakfast items when the girls were younger to help them remember”, and “obviously the subscription box tip doesn’t work with boxes that have one main item, or items that are based on something like clothing size, but it would work for many”…but I don’t want to do take after take, because I don’t think it gives the most authentic version of me, nor is it a healthy practice (or feasible in the time I have available). Based on the feedback I’ve received, I think you listeners are okay with that, and I love you even more for it!

Just a reminder that it’s super helpful to me if you subscribe, rate, review, share, etc., wherever you listen to This Mom Loves. Thank you!!!
