Giveaway open to Canadians.
When my contact at Scholastic asked me if I wanted to review some Klutz craft kits, my only stipulation was that I wanted something that my four year old daughter would be able to do. I know their Klutz books are very popular, as I see my Grade 3 students ordering them from the classroom flyers all the time, but I know many of them are for older kids. I wanted an activity that Frannie would be able to do with some independence, and be proud of her work.
Well, you should have seen the look on her face when I handed her The Fabulous Book of Paper Dolls by Julie Collings. ($19.99)
If your little one isn’t so much a paper dolls sort of kid, how about this:
Klutz Build-a Book: Why I Love My Dad ($14.99)
We’re saving this one for another day (maybe my husband will forget about it by June if I put it away for a Father’s Day gift) but basically it’s a make-a-scrapbook type project where you can use the provided pens, stickers, paper, etc. to create a special Daddy keepsake.
If you’re a hibernator like me, you’re probably looking for some indoor fun you can share with your kids this time of year, and either of these Klutz kits would be a great choice!

Have been a follower for a while now. One of the most favourite activities around here is always play dough! Keeps them busy for a long time!
My girls love to paint, anything paper, wood, tiles heck they would paint the floor if I let them. They like any kind of paint from the cheap junk to the great water colours my oldest got for her birthday. It can keep them entertained for a good few hours at a time!

My little guy is mostly into painting – finger painting, painting with sponges, or brushes. Doesn't matter the method, he just loves to create beautiful pre-school art with paint 🙂
I'm a subscriber through Google Friend Connect as well 🙂
Oh gosh my girls LOVE drawing the best (although any arts, crafts or painting works too.) They went through 300 sheets of paper in ONE Month, just at home. That's not counting, school, playgroup or Grandma's. We would love these Klutz kits!

Absolutely painting; he can't get enough of it and he's created some amazing canvases that are now proudly hanging on his wall.

Baking muffins is our favourite activity for a snowy or rainy day. It's also a sneaky way to incorporate math skills in a fun way and the bonus is having fresh baking for a snack!

I don't have children of my own, but I have two wonderful nephews whose lives I am a big part of and I volunteer as a teacher on the weekends with 5th graders. My nephews love ANY crafty activity; I don't think they've ever disliked anything I've tried, but they absolutely love to work with clay and mold things and paint… They will paint anytime, anywhere or anything (I discovered that out the hard way when they finger-painted by living room wall). Please accept this as my mandatory entry. Thank you!

Paint is the biggest hit around here. I think it is because it is the most messy!

My sons love to do 'maker' stuff. we take bits and pieces of paper, ribbon, thread, glue, stickers, sticks – anything – and create some a collage with it. If it involves paint or glue my little guys are right there.
My girls LOVE to colour, and colour and colour!
